Summer festival, owl cafe and more!

Hi!

Wednesday evening and soon one more week of school is done! I like how the weeks seems to go by so fast here. But I'm doing a lot of stuff so I guess that's why!

On Sunday I went to yet another hanabi and summer festival. It was amazing as always! This time was special because I went to the yearly hanabi get-together for a friends work. So it was my friend, his co-workers and his boss! They where allowed to invite friends so that's why I could come. Actually I'm also interested in having a part-time job at this company so I saw it as a good chance to make some connections and it worked! I will have my interview tomorrow and hopefully I will get the job! I will tell you more about the job and how the job application process works here in Japan after everything is done!

At the hanabi I got the chance to wear a yukata again. The boss had friends that worked with yukata and kimono dressing so they helped us. We had the best view spot ever at the roof top of the building where the boss's friend lived! We ate good food had a drink or two and watched the beautiful hanabi. An amazing evening!

Monday turned out to be a different day as well! A big typhoon passed through  Tokyo which meant school was closed! For me that was great news beacuse I was so tired after the busy weekend! So it was a chill day inside that turned into a pizza party in the evening! Such a nice way to start the week! I do feel sorry for all the people that still had to go to work on that day! All the train where so late or didn't run at all!

Tuesday me and friends from the dorm went to an owl cafe! Basically we paid some money to spend one hour in a room with so so so many owls that we could pet! The staff also helped us to hold them, it was such a  weird but fun experience! The owls were so cute! Only the big ones were a bit scary! But I had a great time making a lot of good memories!

Today Y had a surgery so that made me worry a bit but everything went just fine so he is recovering now so hopefully we can meet this Saturday anyway! After school we went for sushi and I tried a new one that was called "roast beef sushi with garlic sauce" so tasty! But not sure I would call it sushi..

I also finished writing my resume! Took soon much more time than I thought I would! But hopefully this will help me make a good impression on tomorrows interview! Wish me luck!

Until next time!
Hugs!

Is august already almost over??

Hi guys!

I don't now about Sweden but in Tokyo the summer is definitely here! The last couple of days we have had pretty bad weather with lots of rain and wind because of a passing typhoon. But other that that we have sun and around 30 degrees each day! It's hard to deal with the heat sometimes but if you just accept you will be dripping with sweat all the time, keep on drinking water and "salt suppliment dinks" you will be fine. In my case sun protection is also a must.

Just had my first week back to school after summer vaccation. It was an okay week but did have one new teacher that was the worst. She just kept on being rude and telling us our level of japanese was really low.. so that sucked and I felt really down that day, but now I'm fine!

My japanese is slowly getting into better shape again. It's been mostly repeating in school for me but I think it's a good thing beacuse I had forgot some grammar and stuff! Kanji is also getting better pretty fast! So much easier when you see kanji all day around you.

So what have I done lately? Good question! I did go to an amazing hanabi in Yokohama, it was the best!

I also went to the ninja cafe in Akihabara but it was expensive and not really worth the money! But it was a fun thing to have done!

I went to a one-night camp with my old badminton club and it was so much fun and nice to get a break from Tokyo! I realized how much I do like the mountain areas in Japan, it's breathtaking and so relaxing! definitly think I would like to live near the mountains here in the future!

Also went out clubbing in Roppongi with friends from the dorm and Yoshi, so much fun! All you can drink for 4 hours for 160 kr? yes and yes!!

There was also a local festival we checked out during the holiday!

I also started running here again, just need to get it in to a weekly routine!

A lot of tasty food as well of course! Both cooked my me and restaurant food!

I will try to update this a bit more regularly from now on!
Hugs!
